Superb Decoding Capability
BS02004 can read all 1D barcodes easily including those with unintended abrasions or surface stains. The built-in CCD sensors enable the scanner to read barcodes off screens, allowing more convenient usage.

Advanced CCD Technology
With a built-in ultra HD linear camera for 1D barcodes and fast data processing, Officelab BS02004 supports auto tune and auto focus, which ensures the data transfer speed, enhances the barcode readability under bright light and allows the laser scanner to scan barcodes off screen.

Custom Configuration
3 Scanning Modes
‒ Manual Scanning Mode: Press the trigger to emit the red scanning beam, which turns off after each scan or 3 seconds of inactivity.
‒ Continuous Scanning Mode: The scanner can read barcode continuously in this mode so you do not need to press the trigger. The scanning beam turns off after each scan and then turns on in 2s (customizable) automatically.
‒ Hands-free Mode: The scanner can read barcode continuously in this mode so you do not need to press the trigger. The scanning beam can stay on after each scan. To avoid repeated scans, one barcode will be scanned only once by default unless you move the barcode away and back.


Prefix/Suffix Setting
This scanner adds an Enter suffix after each scan by default so the cursor will move to the next line automatically. You can replace it with a Tab suffix if needed. In addition, you can reach out to us for the complete manual to add custom prefixes and suffixes. (To quick start for novice users, the included manual simply displays frequently used functions.)


Adjustable Beep Volume
BS02004 is set as medium beep volume by default. There are 4 volume levels available: Silent, Low, Medium, High. Please follow steps in the included manual to adjust the volume if necessary. For example, to enter silent mode, please scan these command barcodes in sequence: Enter Setup---Silent---Save and Exit.


User Notice
The default language of the scanner is English(US). Before scanning barcodes, please make sure that the language of the scanner is consistent with the keyboard language of the connected device. Otherwise, the scanner might return wrong value or even garbled words.

Product FAQ

1. Is the scanner compatible with Square/Shopify/QuickBooks, or some other software, POS?

Our scanner is incompatible with Square/Shopify/QuickBooks. We never restrict other software or applications from using our barcode scanners. However, some software or applications may require a designated brand of barcode scanner or may have some special requirements. It is recommended to contact the software manufacturer to double check. If there are no special restrictions, our barcode scanner should be compatible with those software. If your software has some special requirements, please provide us with more details and then we will test and provide you with a solution.

2. Can the scanner read DPM code?

No. DPM code has extremely high requirements on the scanner. All of our scanners do not support this barcode type.

3. What can I do if my scanner doesn't work in Bluetooth wireless mode?

To resolve this issue, please refer to the troubleshooting steps below first:

  • Make sure your scanner has wireless function.
  • Try the scanner with different Bluetooth devices to see if the wireless function works.
  • Charge the scanner for 3~4 hours and check if the LED light is on.
  • Restore the scanner to factory defaults.
  • Delete the Bluetooth pairing record on your device, and re-pair them according to the user manual.

4. What can I do if the red beam comes on but the barcode cannot be recognized?

To resolve this issue, please refer to the troubleshooting steps below first:

  • Make sure the scanner is well connected with your device.
  • Check if your scanner is configured to read this type of barcode.
  • Scan the barcode from different distance.

If the issue still persists, please contact Inateck customer support with a sharp picture of the barcode for further assistance.

5. The scanner works well in wired mode but it gives wrong scans in Bluetooth mode.

To resolve this issue, please refer to the troubleshooting steps below first:

  • If the scanner is working with Mac OS or iOS, please program the scanner to Mac OS/iOS mode according to the manual.
  • Make sure the scanner's language matches the language of your device.
  • Decrease the data transmission speed. The data transmission interval is 0ms by default. You can set the data ransmission Interval to 64ms or 96ms if necessary.
