Inateck 2D Bluetooth Scanner

Compatible Barcodes

The BCST-42 supports reading various 1D, 2D and GS1 barcodes; (Postal barcodes not supported)

To ensure scanning speed, some barcodes cannot be read by the barcode scanner by default. To read them, you need to make relevant settings on the barcode scanner.

The barcodes below can be read by default.

1D:

Code 128, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 39, Code 93, Codabar, Interleaved 2 of 5, Standard 2 of 5, Industrial 2 of 5, Matrix 2 of 5, IATA 2 of 5, MSI, Code 11, ISBN, ISSN

2D:

QR Code, PDF-417, Aztec Code, Data Matrix

GS1 Code:

GS1 128, GS1 DataBar, GS1 DataBar Expanded, GS1 DataBar Limited, GS1 DataBar Composite

The barcodes below cannot be read by default.

Super Convenient

-Scanning Has Never Been More Convenient

Inateck team has been simplifying the way to use the barcode scanners.

-Special Shortcut Function Button:

1.Long press the M button to enter into Bluetooth pairing mode.

2.Press and hold the scanning button and long press the M button to enter/exit inventory mode.

3.Short press the M button to check battery status.

4.Press the scanning button for 3s after connecting the scanner with an iOS device to pop out the virtual keyboard.

-With the default vibration mode, you can use the barcode scanner at libraries or bookstores without worries.

-Independent power switch prevents power-on by mistake when put in a pocket or bag.

-Auto-sleep function (to save battery, the barcode scanner enters into sleep 3 minutes after left unused. You may reset the sleep time. )

-A quick-setting sticker is packaged with the product. You may stick it to the back of the scanner, so you don’t have to carry or keep the instruction manual all the time.

The BCST-42 defaults vibration alerts. Please customize your scanner according to the instruction manual if you want to enable sound alerts.

Custom Settings

When using the BCST-42, you can customize the settings as per your needs. For detailed illustration, please refer to the instruction manual.

1. Adding 1-32 digits customized suffix

2. Deleting 0-99 digits front or end characters

3. Setting upper and lower cases

4. Support multi-language keyboards, including Japanese, American, German, French, Spanish, Italian, English, Canada, and Serbian.

Inventory Mode

The barcode scanner can store 270,000 13-digit barcodes under inventory mode, which is 50 times the volume of other similar products (Inateck laboratory test). You can upload the barcodes in batches after finishing your scanning remotely.

Connection Ways:

Bluetooth Mode: With the built-in Bluetooth 5.0 module, you can connect the barcode scanner with your phone, tablet, laptop and other devices without adapters.

USB Mode: Plug and play

Decoding Ability
Support On-screen Barcode: The scanner is capable of reading all 1D and mainstream 2D barcodes on paper and screen.

*Due to different decoding algorithms, laser scanners have more advantage when reading long barcodes. If you often scan long 1D barcodes with 20 or more digits, and require high scanning speed, we recommend the Inateck BCST-70 barcode scanner.

If your computer is not equipped with any Bluetooth module, please purchase one Bluetooth adapter on your own.
BCST-42 is not compatible with POS software like Square and Shopify because such software only works with specified barcode scanners.
BCST-42 does not support Bluetooth 3.0 devices.
